About Goldie
Goldie Millar is the co-author of two children’s books aimed at supporting young children and the caring adults in their lives to name, understand and express their various feelings. Her first title, ‘F Is for Feelings’, is a Canadian bestseller. Her follow-up title, ‘1,2,3, My Feelings and Me’, is a 2022 New York City Big Book Award Winner.
Goldie is a poet who explores the themes of emotion, life pressures and societal narrative in her writing. Her poems entitled ‘Aperture’ and ‘Red’ have been awarded Best Adult Poetry through local poetry contests.
She is an alumnus of the Humber School of Writers, having earned a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing, and a proud member of the Writers Union of Canada. She is currently working on her first full length fiction novel and poetry collection.
Goldie is a practicing psychologist who is committed to helping others achieve psychological wellness and works in both the public and private sector.
Goldie resides in Ontario, Canada, where she feels lucky to have a large garden, family who will travel and hike with her, and a standard schnauzer named Winston.
